Filippo Andreatta

I (Rovereto, IT, 1981) graduated in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano (BA) and in Performing and Visual Arts at IUAV University of Venice (MA). In 2008, I’ve established OHT [Office for a Human Theatre] and decided against the invitation of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama - University of London, for an MA in Performance Practice and Research.

My artistic research drives behind the realm of theatre as my work is more about performing an idea rather than “true life on stage”. I was the first person to bring on stage Delirious New York, the cult book of contemporary architecture by Rem Koolhaas. I’ve been theatre-advisor of the City of Rovereto where I have launched a season of Contemporary Theatre. Since 2015, I co-curate the International festival of Centrale Fies in Italy and I’m project manager of APAP Network for Centrale Fies.

I’ve been honoured with awards for artistic excellence, including Nuove Sensibilità for young theatre directors (2008), twice Movin’Up award for young artists (2016 and 2017) and OPER.A 20.21 Fringe (2017). Furthermore, I’ve been lecturing in universities and museums including Politecnico di Milano, NABA New academy of Visual Arts Milan, Cattolica University, MART museum and University of Genoa.
