Marina Neophytou

I am a young professional, with 13 years of work experience, who strongly believes that diverse perspectives around the world is invaluable to positive development and betterment of society. My educational background is in BSc Operational Research / Management Science and MSc Organizational and Social Psychology. My professional background has equipped me with strong analytical background that combined with my creative problem solving skills, enabled me to excel throughout my professional career.

I started my professional experience in a corporate environment, as a Human Capital consultant, but my creativity allowed me to introduce new ways of doing business that proved to be adopted and respected by my senior colleagues. I furthered my career in digital media, consulting some of the largest companies in the UK and also digital start ups, through the founding of my own digital boutique agency. Taking what I learned from my business background and incorporating it into civil society initiatives has been extremely successful. For the past 6 years, I have been a director of 3 different civil society organizations (Current work/project)

Past work/project: home4cooperation; urbangorillas, all focusing on Arts for peacebuilding and awareness on social matters. My newly established organization, Visual Voices, has been growing rapidly in interest from international and local practitioners and institutions. Visual Voices, within 6 months of establishment, managed to create meaningful partnerships with local organizations and universities in: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Cyprus, Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Malta, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and UK. I am hopeful that through the RESHAPE Forum, I will be able to create lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with young artists and cultural professionals.
